Hi, I’m Dori, a Kansas-based fine artist. My journey with art began in 2004 as a watercolorist, but it was in 2018—during the profound loss of my mother to lung cancer—that I discovered my deep connection to oil painting. In those moments, painting became my refuge and my most heartfelt form of prayer. That experience shaped my artistic voice, infusing my work with expressive depth and emotional resonance. Through oil, I strive to capture the beauty of fleeting moments, the wonder of imagined realms, and the quiet, contemplative spaces where the soul can rest.
